We are pleased to announce that on 12 July 2019, Robin Boyle disposed of 110,001 shares of which 40,001 were sold to Global Masters Fund Limited (GMF) at NAV, 239p.

A further 70,000 shares were sold separately to another party at NAV, 239p.

This transaction reflects terms agreed between the two parties this month, based on the original agreement made in March 2010. We now expect remaining shares controlled by Robin Boyle to be sold over the next 12 months, as required by the agreement between the two parties.

I am pleased to see that agreement on the sale of Robin’s shares has been reached between the two major shareholders; it also reflects Robin’s stated intention to retire from an active role in the company. We wish him well in his next chapter. As this marks the successful end of negotiations between the parties I now relinquish the role of Executive Chairman and return to Non-Executive Chairman, effective immediately”.

GMF now holds 545,005 shares representing 25.26% of the issued share capital in Athelney Trust plc and Robin Boyle now controls 339,054 shares representing 15.71% of the issued share capital in Athelney Trust plc.
